Digital, Micro, and Mini Cassettes Data Storage Stat Dictations Confidentiality Additional Services While our main office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, we have staff working 24 hours a day, as we realize that the clock never stops for those in the medical profession. Holiday coverage is without extra charge for our contracted clients and is available at a slightly higher charge for p.r.n. clients. As well as offering your dictators and staff access to our digital dictation system which is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week, we have the necessary equipment to connect to your existing dictation system if needed. From the very beginning of our business relationship, we will provide you with the name and contact number of your account manager, including emergency and after-hours numbers. We make every effort to assign you to a person with whom you can communicate consistently, which we feel encourages comfortable business dealings and, most importantly, confident ones. We also guarantee all contact with our facility to be pleasant and courteous. We're the exception to corporate America, where faces are lost and people are forgotten. Write us or give us a call. We will remember your name. We boast impeccable quality standards and require such to be met by all of our MTs. We have in-depth knowledge of medicine, knowing common dosages of name brand as well as generic medications, surgical instruments, procedures, and equipment, etc., a knowledge so well-ingrained that we recognize erroneous dictation, i.e., a male having procedures gender-specific for females and vice versa, medication dosages dictated to be a dose that is obviously not correct, etc. We will note these errors for our dictators and make changes as they desire. We believe that our quality assurance team cannot be beat and quality assurance averages specific to the MTs on your account are available for your perusal at any time should you desire. For this reason, we do not list specific medical specialties as our forte, as we know them all equally well. Medical Linguistics guarantees a 4 to 24-hour turnaround on all work types and offers several document delivery options to choose from. If you choose to contract with us and choose direct transfer, we will provide your facility(s) with a computer and laser printer. All medical records transcribed by our service are then transferred to this computer daily and are available to you at the touch of your mouse. Your computer will be password protected and cannot be accessed by outside dialers. After transferring the records, we print them for you also. In this way, your office staff is required only to keep paper in the printer and to distribute your documents in the normal way. There is no extra charge for this premium service, with the only requirement that your facility return the computer and printer (at our cost) should there be discontinuation of services. Again, we strive to make your staff's responsibilities next to none. Medical Linguistics has the ability to transcribe records dictated via our digital dictation system, via connection to your digital dictation system and via micro- and/or mini-cassettes. Should your facility not be in our general area and need cassette transcription, we offer courier service via overnight carriers for the transfer of your tapes, the cost of which is absorbed by us. If your dictation is currently being done on tapes and you would like to switch to digital dictation, just let us know. We'll send detailed dictation instructions on the simple use of our system for distribution to each of your dictators, and you can be up and running within hours. Our digital system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and may be connected to with regular phones, as well as cellular phones. We store all records we transcribe at our facility for a period of two years. After two years, we delete the records and they cannot be recovered in any way for any use. We offer stat transcription and/or stat faxed copies at no additional charge. All Medical Linguistics staff are required to sign confidentiality statements upon hire, and these are upheld to the fullest extent of the law. In addition to our confidentiality statement, the transcriptionist(s) on your account will be expected to sign any confidentiality statement deemed necessary by, or authored by, your facility. We are continually searching for ways to cater to medical professionals and to offer a wide array of services to them. This eliminates the hassle of outsourcing to several companies and the headache of who is responsible for what.
